Stefano Tsitsipas: ATP Finals

Stefanos Tsitsipas is a Greek professional tennis player. Born 12 August 1998 he is the youngest player ranked in the top 20 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and he is world number 15 when it comes to his career ranking. Tennis is in his genes as his mother was a professional tennis player and his father a Tennis coach. He was introduced to the sport at a tender age of three and by six he was taking lessons and he ranked number 1 as a junior player. Stefano became the third player from Greece and first Greek male to win a junior Grand Slam title victory in the 2016 Wimbledon’s boy's double event.

In late 2017 Stefano won his first ever ATP match and soon ascended up the ATP rankings. He reached two ATP finals in 2018.he won the Canadian Open to become the youngest ever player to defeat four top 10 opponents in just one tournament.

Stefano really impressed everyone by surviving a 2 hour 20 minute battle of fluctuating fortunes against the veteran Gael Monfils. Stefano will be playing against Russian powerhouse Karen Kachanov in the second round on the 17th, Wednesday.
