The scientists do not consider the fire in the amazon to be a natural phenomenon but the major contributing element behind this is considered to be deforestation. Environmentalists have also blamed the President of Brazil saying that his policies only menaced the forest. Research also says that the dry season can be a reason for the fire but the starting of it might be the deliberate or accidental work of humans. Human activities such as mining, drilling and farming are making the situation worse now.
The far-right President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro pledges to send an army to stop the fire before it extends to a limit and save the so called ‘lungs of the earth’ the Amazon rainforest from becoming a barren land. This praising step was taken by Jair Bolsonaro after he was threatened by the EU on trade deals. Although forest fires take place in Brazil every year but this year’s sheer scale shocked whole world. Schweimler said that it was criticism from international authorities as well as from Brazil itself that forced Jair Bolsonaro, the rightful President of Brazil to take actions to save the forest from burning into ashes further. In an attempt to ease all the criticism focused at him as well as to fight against the fires; Jair Bolsonaro said in a broadcast that to stop the illegal logging in the Amazon he had given official permission to use the troops for fighting against the fires. Finally, it rained in Amazon forest and Earth saved itself which shows that nature is great!
