Delhi Legislative Assembly elections were conducted on 5th February 2025. The results are announced today, i.e., 8th February 2025. There are a total of 70 constituencies under the Legislative Assembly in Delhi. 
 
The major parties in the Legislative Assembly Delhi elections were:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Indian National Congress (INC).  

- The Aam Aadmi Party has won two consecutive Legislative Assembly elections and has been in power since 2015 in Delhi. 
- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not been in power in the Delhi Legislative Assembly for the past 27 years, since 1998. 
- Congress has also made a 15-year reign in Delhi before.

The main contenders in Delhi are AAP and BJP. The electoral mood in Delhi is complex. 
 
Delhi Records 60.54% Voter Turnout in 2025 Assembly Elections: Delhi Legislative Assembly elections witnessed a voter turnout of almost 61% of registered voters casting their ballots. 
 
Women Voters Surpassed That of Men in Delhi Assembly Elections: 
 
- Registered women voters: 72.37 lakh 
- Percentage of women voters: 60.92% 
- Percentage of men voters: 60.21%

Final Verdict 
 
- After 27 years, BJP is all set to form its government in Delhi. 
- Government: BJP – 48 seats 
- Opposition: AAP – 22 seats 
 
BJP is yet to reveal the Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi, although BJP has won the majority of seats in the 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections.
