Top Three Picks In Consensus Mock Draft Is Clear, But Then What?

Consensus Mock Draft is a compilation of the best simulated drafts of the web. We brought them together to come up with a good estimate of how the 2019 NBA Draft could work.

Some notes after last week's Combine Draft, while the team starts hosting the draft prospects. Six of the 10 simulated drafts have been updated since our first search for the Lottery, which gives us a little more clarity:

As expected, Zion Williamson is a consensus block to move to number 1 of the New Orleans pelicans. With the possibility that Anthony Davis is leaving, New Orleans could not have asked for a better result by getting his new franchise exchange center. With Williamson No. 1 in the 10 simulated drafts, it would be a total shock if he did not end up playing in the Big Easy.

With our last look, we also have a full consensus on numbers 2 and 3. With the second selection, the Memphis Grizzlies will probably take the point guard Ja Murant from Murray State. The 10 simulated drafts see Memphis taking Morant and allowing him to learn behind Mike Conley. That would leave the Knicks taking Duke swingman R.J. Barrett, who will have the difficult task of making fans forget about Williamson's lack. Again, the 10 simulated drafts agree.

The intrigue starts at No. 4, where the Lakers got lucky with the ping pong balls. Our last look made the Lakers go with De'Andre Hunter, who demonstrated his two-way skills during the Virginia National Championship. Now, however, it seems that Darius Garland could be the option here. Four of the 10 drills have the Vanderbilt guard along with Lonzo Ball in the defense zone.

Duke's Reddish Cam appears in the lottery in the 10 simulations, as high as No. 4, but more commonly in No. 8 (five times), where he finished with the Hawks.

It seems that the Bulls could go in search of a point guard with the No. 7 team, if our predictions are correct. That shipowner would be Coby White from North Carolina, who heads to Chicago in nine of our 10 simulated drafts. The Bulls already have Kris Dunn, but they may not be sold with him as their long-term solution at the moment.

A player who is seeing some stabilization is Jaxson Hayes of Texas. Previously, the great man was in all areas, but now there is a consensus almost that it will end with the Hawks. Eight of the 10 simulated drafts come to Atlanta grabbing it at number 10.

The first foreign international player to leave the board appears to be Sekou Doumbouya, a young forward from Guinea who has been playing in France for Limoges. However, its potential is clear, and eight of our 10 simulated drafts make it participate in the lottery. Another international prospect who is considering the lottery is Goga Bitadze, a big man from Georgia who appears in the lottery in a mockery and will probably be a first-round pick.

A player who is gaining strength is Rui Hachimura de Gonzaga. At our first glance, raw talent appeared in the lottery four times, but this last aspect has it in six of the 10 simulated drafts. Four of those drills see him going to the Wolves, who have the No. 11 pick. His arrival on the scene surprises Nassir Little of North Carolina, who still appears in six drills, but could be in a lottery frontier territory.
