When a lot of Indian football enthusiasts will be watching the FIFA World Cup on their television , 11 year old Nathania John from Tamil Nadu and 10 year old Rishi Tej from Karnataka will be in Russia, rubbing shoulders with the global superstars of football such as Neymar and Philippe Coutinho. These two junior footballers will be the Official Match Ball Carriers (OMBC) at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia.

They both will carry the match ball, where one will be carrying it during the Belgium vs Panama game and other will get a chance to be on the pitch before the Brazil vs Costa Rica match. Sunil Chhetri, Captain of Indian Football team conducted their trials as a part of the Kia Official Match Ball Carrier programme in Gurgaon in May. 1600 children participated in the trials where only 50 have been shortlisted.
