Virat Kohli is Losing Respect For Sledging: Ian Healy

Virat Kohli is losing respect for sledging, says Ian Healy. The former Australian wicketkeeper said Kohli is depriving from the much gained respect as the Indian Skipper for his constant sledging of the Australians in the ongoing second Test at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Former Australian player Simon Katich, however, gave a totally different remark. According to him, neither side crossed the line. The tension during the game play was understandable considering the magnitude of the series between the two top-ranked Test sides.

Kohli was on a sledging spree on day two of the second Test in Bangalore. After frequent words exchanged between Kohli and Steven Smith, the Indian skipper tried to unsettle opener Matt Renshaw. Considerably, the jeopardy could be seen after the 19 match unbeaten streak that Virat Kohli had proudly protected came to an end.

"The pressure is starting to show on Kohli and I am losing respect for him, the 119-Test veteran Healy told Melbourne radio station. I think there are massive cracks showing in Kohli, said Healy.

Katich, however, said that both Kohli and his counterpart Steve Smith handled a tense situation of a vital Test with balance and all the needful tact. The 3rd Test will be played from March 16 at the JSCA International Stadium, Ranchi.
