LEARN THE MOVES
Each chess piece has a certain move and way. For instance, if we see a pawn it moves straight ahead but can only attack in an angle, one square at a time. A knight’s move is like alphabet L etc. By learning all these moves and using them at correct time one can become a chess champ.
OPEN WITH A PAWN
Another tip is to always open up a game by moving the pawn in front of either the king or queen two squares forward; this helps in opening pathways for your bishops and queen to enter the game.
MAKE THE KNIGHTS AND BISHOPS OUT
Before moving your queen, rooks or king, move your knights and bishops toward the centre of the board. This makes a great strategy for moving further in the game.
“CASTLE” at early stage
Castling is basically a move that allows one to move his/her king to safety and bring your rook into play. Castling at early stage is yet another great strategy that will help one to become good chess player.
Attacking in the middle game
After you’ve brought all your bishops and knights into the game and castled them (these moves are called your “opening”), the middle game begins after that. In the middle game, always be the one who is on the lookout for ways to capture your opponent’s men. Take any pieces that your opponent doesn’t protect. Always be keen looking for ways to move lots of your men into the position to attack the enemy king.
