We Have The Team To Score In Olympics!

The Indian Women’s Hockey team forward Lalremsiami, who was conducive in India’smerriment at the FIH Women’s Series Finals in Hiroshima lastmonth, clean-cut that India has a good side to score for the 2020Tokyo Olympics.

Lalremsiami saidthat “The team is very courageous advanced for the Olympic TestEvent because we have worked hard during our practice sessions. Eachsession in the National Camp is programmed fixing in mind the OlympicQualifiers. We believe that we have a good team which can repeathistory by scoring for the Olympics again”. At the Olympic TestEvent that is from 17-21 August, 2019 ahead of the Olympic Qualifiersin October/ November 2019. The Indian team will have a battle againstAustralia, China and Japan. The team induce by Rani had a remarkabletournament at the FIH Women’s Series Finals in June, beatingJapan 3-1 in the final.

Lalremsiami accepts the team is sensible enough to not repeating the same mistakes againthey made in the Final of the 18th Asian Games which put them in adisheartened second place while Japan apprehend the Gold. “We played very well at the Asian Games and we knew that if we won Gold there then we would definitely qualify for the Olympics. We are practicing hard during the tournament, but we made a few mistakes andfor this reason we couldn’t achieve our goal in the tournament.Afterwards, we decided that we will not repeat our mistakes at theFIH Women’s Series Finals and we merriment in the competition against the same Japan team we lost to in the 18th Asian Games Final”said Lalremsiami.

The various camps organized by Hockey India helped the players improve their game dayby day after the FIH Women’s Series Finals – expressed by19 year old from Mizoram. Hockey India coordinated special goalkeeping and supporters camps in Bengaluru in July. Lalremsiamisaid -“We upgrade our game day by day in the Special trainingcamps organized by Hockey India. We concentrated on cocksure strandsof our game such as when to gear players, man to man marking etc.After intensifying our game, I believe we are an even more confidentunit,” said Lalremsiami.

The talented picketer combined that India has a team which can take on a topranked team such as Australia in the Olympic Test Event.

Lalremsiami expressed that -“Australia has one of the top teams in theworld, but we are also a good team. So we are convinced to take themon in the Olympic Test Event. If we do well at the Olympic Test Eventthen we will gain more confidence ahead of the Olympic Qualifiers.
