Who Will Be The Next Franchise Of The NHL To Win Their First Cup Of Stanley?

The St. Louis Blues are champions of the Stanley Cup, and they finish more in the century of untitled history of the NHL. To be sure, have a party in Missouri this week, and maybe the Blues have been a hope for other fan bases for the future. After all, the fans of St. Louis and are not part of the 'Sad Club', the designation coined by Vancouver writers Jason Brough and Mike Halford for teams that have never won the Cup.

With St. Louis out, there are now only 11 franchises without a name for their name. So, who is next? Here is a classification to start the summer:

1. Golden Knights of Las Vegas: If it were not for a failed decision that led to a five-minute power game in San Jose, the Knights have also won this year's Cup and almost the year before as a rookie franchise. With a full season of Mark Stone in 2019-20, Vegas could win the Pacific Division and we all know what we have achieved with the ice advantage at home. Also, they really want revenge for that San Jose series.

2. Winnipeg Jets: The Jets do not lack anything on paper, but this group has not yet been able to reach the final, despite all the talent. It is likely that the defense will have a new image this summer, and that Tyler Myers will be eligible for free agency without restrictions and the exchange talk of Jacob, which is reaching high levels, and that Winnipeg will be better or worse in the next autumn? They still have a lot of talent from Blake Wheeler to Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine, so a career in the Cup would not be a surprise.

3. Nashville Predators: Like Winnipeg, there is nothing in the paper to suggest that the Predators cannot win the Cup next season; they should only do so after a disappointing start to Dallas in the first round. The Predators have a lot of talent, especially in the blue line, but the window for this current group could close soon: Pekka Rinne turns 37 in November, while the salary of Captain Roman Josi doubles in the summer of 2020.

4. San Jose Sharks: the last of the "win now" crowd, the Sharks will probably lose some talent this summer, but they will still be a strong team. Did Joe Pavelski leave? What about Erik Karlsson? Those are important names, but San Jose will still have playoff monster Logan Couture, Tomás' continuous ascendant and main defender Brent Burns. If Joe Thornton returned for another season, he will also have all the motivation in the world.

5. Florida Panthers: OK, this is a real call from the X factor: if the Panthers can catch an Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky through free agency this summer, it's a real threat. If not, then throw away a few points on this list. As it is, Florida has a real center No. 1 in Aleksander Barkov, a great second-tier pivot in Vince Trocheck (when healthy) and great talent in the bands. In addition, new coach Joel Quenneville is one of the best times of all time, which should do wonders for the team as a whole.
