Will The Battle Of Sixes Decide The T20I Series?

Before this T20I series against the West Indies, the maximum sixes that India had conceded in a T20I match at home was 11. That was against the same opposition in the 2016 T20 World Cup semi-final in Mumbai.
In the first match of the ongoing series, in Hyderabad, they conceded 15. (The total of 27 sixes was the most in a T20I played in India). And on Sunday night, in the 2nd T20I in Thiruvananthapuram, they were tanked for 12 more.
The Windies may have plummeted in the T20 rankings since that epic 2016 T20 World Cup triumph, but write them off at your own peril. The men in maroon are a bunch of serious power hitters. And this T20 series could well be decided by the sixes count. And here's how it stands:
1st T20I: West Indies: 15; India: 12
2nd T20I: West Indies: 12; India: 5
Total: West Indies: 27; India: 17
The bulk of West Indies' sixes on Sunday came off the bat of Man of the Match Lendl Simmons. His 67 off 45 balls comprised four sixes. FYI: The last time Simmons scored a T20I fifty, was also versus India (82) in that 2016 T20 World Cup semi. And once he was dropped on 6 by Washington Sundar off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fifth over of West Indies' chase, there was no looking back in the chase of 171.
Fellow opener Evin Lewis - who boasts the maximum T20I sixes against India (28) - too was given a reprieve by Rishabh Pant in the same over. He smashed three sixes en route to a 30-ball 40. No. 3 batsman Shimron Hetmyer kept the momentum with three more sixes during his 23 off 14 balls. And finally, Nicholas Pooran sealed the win (and levelled the series 1-1) for the visitors with nine balls to spare, clubbing two sixes during his whirlwind cameo of 38 not out off 18 balls. Indian Team’s fielding performance was not up to its standard they dropped catches which could have changed the course of the matches, the final match between these two teams are to be played and to win the series both the teams will be putting their best efforts, it’s going to be a exciting final match .
