World Number One Novak Djokovic Out Of US Open

Novak Djokovic, the Serbian professional tennis player to be ranked No.1 by the ATP and also the first male player who represented Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title. Djokovic grew up in Monte Carlo and he started playing tennis at a young age of four. His talent was spotted by Yugoslav tennis player Jelena Gencic who worked with young Djokovic for six years after which for Djokovic best interest he was sent to Pilic tennis Academy in Oberschleissheim, Germany when he was 12. Djokovic started his international career at the age of 14 winning European championships in all the categories singles, doubles and team competition. Since then there has been no stopping this great Serbian tennis player who is a force to reckon with and has bagged titles where ever he went.
Novak's achievements are just mind boggling. The ATP Finals is the second highest tier of annual men's tennis tournament after the four Grand Slam tournaments He has won 16 Grand Slam singles titles, 33 ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles, 5 ATP Finals titles,12 ATP Tour 500 titles and he held on to the no .1 Spot in the ATP rankings for a whopping 250 weeks. In the major events he went to bag the Australian Open titles for a record 7 times. Won 5 Wimbledon titles, followed by 3 US open titles and 1 French Open title which made him the eight players in history to achieve the Career Grand Slam and also he is the third man to hold all the four major titles all at once. Novak Djokovic is considered as one of the greatest tennis player of all times as he won the trophies defeating the greatest players and his biggest rivals.
However, on the 2nd of September Novak Djokovic had to pull out of the match against 23rd seed Swiss Stan Warwinka and out of the US Open as well. The star player was greeted with loud boos when he finally decided to walk off the court due to unbearable pain. Though Novak refused to comment on the crowd’s reaction Warwinka did comment that the crowd’s negative reaction for a player left him surprised. Novak said" life goes on", even though it is frustrating not to be able to play however, things work sometimes and sometimes they don't and that as a player he knows when he is unable to hit the shot anymore. He did not want to elaborate on the nature of his injury.
