Yuzvendra Singh Chahal: An Indian Cricketer And Former Chess Player

Yuzvendra Singh Chahal is born on July 23rd, 1990. He is a cricketer and former Indian chess player who represents India in both One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He has also represented India internationally in the field of chess internationally. In Indian National Cricket, he plays for Haryana and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

Chahal is one of the only two players in the history of T20I who has taken a 6-wicket shot. He signed up for the first time in the Mumbai Indians in 2008. He appeared in just 1 IPL game for the team in three seasons, but he played in every game in the 2011 Twenty20 Champions League. He took 2 of 9 in 3 overs in the Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, to help Mumbai defending the 139 total and lift the title. At the 2014 IPL player auction, he was purchased by the Royal Challengers for its base price of ₹ 10 lakh. He won the Man of the Match award against Delhi Daredevils at IPL 2014.

He was bought by the Bangalore Royal Challengers in January 2018 at the IPL auction of 2018. Named in the 14-man team to tour Zimbabwe in 2016, he made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on June 11, 2016.

He took3 wickets in the second match for just 25 runs and led his team to victory with 8 wickets. In its second over, Chahal delivered at a speed of 109 km / h, a seam-up delivery. His performance in bowling also earned him the first international prize for the man of the match.

Made his debut at Twenty20 International (T20I) against Zimbabwe in Harare on June 18, 2016, he became India's first bowler in a five-wicket tour of T20I on February 1st, 2017, finishing with 6/25 against England. Yuzvendra Chahal is also the first legspinner for picking up the filter, as well as 6 wickets in T20I. He also has the record of the best bowling as a legspinner in the history of T20I (6/25).

Most of the wickets were taken by him are from T20I in 2017. On January 18, 2019, Chahal took part in his 2nd 1-Day international 5-wicket haul by taking 6/42 against Australia. These were the best joint figures of an Indian vs Australian bowler after Ajit Agarkar in 2003/04. These are also the best figures of an Indian spinner in MCG in Australia against Australia. In this game, Australia scored 230 in 48.5 overs, while India easily overtook it in 7 wickets by M.S. Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav. He was named in the squad of India for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in April 2019.
