All Major Cricket Cups In India

In India there are a wide variety of sports played by the youth and everyone likes their favorite sport such as football, badminton, tennis, kabaddi, etc and a lot but the most loved sport by the Indian youth is cricket. In India, there is the youth who get linked with cricket. Every player dreams to play and winning the World Cup for India. But this journey to win the most prestigious cup in cricket is not easy. To win this most prestigious cup every individual has to play and showcase their talent in domestic cricket tournaments. There are many cricket cups in India through which a player gets a chance to play for India. 3 major cups in India highlight the players and spotlight them in the eyes of selectors and create a pathway for their career in the national team.

(1) Indian Premier League (IPL):- Is the most popular and liked Cricket cup in India. The IPL was launched in the year 2008 by the Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI). The main focus of BCCI to launch IPL was to promote youth. Since IPL launch every season we get to see some extraordinary players and talent. From 2008 IPL was the most viewed T20 league and also the most popular T20 league around the world. Players who play well in domestic leagues get a chance to play in IPL.

(2) Ranji Trophy:- You talking about started in the year 1934 and was named after KS Ranjit Singh Vibhaji, the prince of Nawanagar. Ranji Trophy is the biggest domestic cricket competition in India. The teams represent their state in a battle against each other to win the title.

(3) Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy:- The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was introduced in the year 2008. It is named after a well-known Indian cricketer Syed Mushtaq Ali. This is the kind of zonal T20 championship and this tournament was launched by BCCI to promoteT20 cricket at the domestic level also. This tournament is a kind of base tournament for players to prepare for IPL

By all these cricket cups launched by BCCI at the domestic level have given Indian cricket players enough practice and experience to dominate also in International cricket.
