
Drinking Water: Necessary For Good Health

Can anyone imagine that a simple molecule made from one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms can be a thing without which no one can survive? Well, nobody can sustain without drinking water for more than 3-4 days. Drinking water is very essential to maintain good health. It has numerous benefits for our bodies. Some of them include:
1) Maintains body temperature:
Whenever one does a physical activity one sweats and sweating loses water from one’s body. It is true that sweating makes one feel cool but not recollecting the water one’s body loses can cause high temperatures.
2) Contributes to nutrient absorption:
Water plays a very important role in helping with the breakdown of food. It contributes to dissolving nutrients in one’s body.
3) Prevents constipation:
One has surely heard that eating sufficient fiber helps in preventing constipation but water also plays an equally important role. It makes one’s bowel movements get sufficient water.
4) Helps excrete waste:
Sweating, urination, and bowel movements, the three most common ways by which one’s body excretes waste all require water. Kidneys help in straining waste through urination. Sufficient water intake prevents kidney stones and makes kidneys work more nicely.
These were just some of the numerous reasons one should drink plenty of water, at least 8-10 glasses every day. Drinking less water can cause dehydration which is very bad for one’s health. Some ways to increase water intake include:
1) Carry a water bottle everywhere you go or travel.
2) Try adding some calorie-free flavor to the water.
3) Set a reminder on your phone which reminds you to drink water.
At last, it is one’s responsibility to take care of oneself. Stay hydrated!
