We know that, as the World is turning into technology for their comfort and well-being it is at the same time harming us. It does not matter how big or small the industry is contributes to noise pollution as the equipment they use like exhaust fans, compressors, and generators produce more sounds and create a lot of noise. Similarly, the ever-increasing use of automobiles is also considered to be another major reason for noise pollution. Not only automobiles but also transport vehicles like buses, trucks, bikes, airplanes, and more are a part of it. People blare unnecessarily in the traffic and listen to loud music on the way which creates a high level of disturbances due to noise pollution.

Moreover, social events like marriages, parties, and religious functions in places like clubs, pubs, halls, temples, and more create a lot of disturbances in the residential areas. In addition to that construction activities like mining, the building of flyovers, bridges, and more also produce great noise, and due to such activities create havoc conditions in the environment. Though it may not be talked about much as a social concern it is a fact that noise pollution has a serious impact on the lives of living beings. Noise pollution causes several hearing problems as high levels of noise damage the eardrums and even cause loss of hearing sometimes. Moreover, it also affects our psychological health. It may not be evaluated instantly but in the long run, it can be seen changes in our behavior. Fatigue and migraines are the major health problems that tends to experience by an individual due to noise pollution. Not only humans but noise pollution also affects marine and wildlife too.

Thus, there are some ways that we can opt to eliminate the effects of noise pollution by spreading awareness as it is considered to be a significant concern to beat this invisible threat. Adopting alternative means of transport and communication systems such as electric vehicles or bicycles instead of taking the car, avoiding very noisy leisure activities, insulating homes with noise-absorbing materials, etc are some of the solutions that we can use to eradicate noise pollution. As noise pollution is considered to be a severe cause it very much requires educating the younger generation which is also an essential aspect of environmental education. Government can also take measures to ensure correct noise management and eradicate noise pollution in metropolitan cities including advisories for noise monitoring on the occasion of Deepawali, prohibition of the use of fireworks should be done, awareness program should be made to avoid bursting firecrackers and issuance of directions under relevant sections of the Environment Protection Act, 1986
