Greatest Legends of Football

One loves to play sports. One of the most loved sports around the world is football which is also known as soccer. This game got its major existence by some great legends. So, let’s know about some great legends who are still remembered for their excellent performance in this game.

• Cristiano Ronaldo: Born on 5th February 1985, this Portuguese player has stolen the hearts of several people. He plays for the Portuguese national team and started playing football when he was 16. He has won over 30 major trophies and is also considered to be one of the most handsome footballers.

• Lionel Messi: Born on 24th June 1987, this amazing player plays for the Argentina national team and also for Spanish club Barcelona. People continuously compare him with Cristiano Ronaldo as both players are in the hearts of people. Just the thing is that Lionel Messi has won six, come in second five times, and come in third once, while Cristiano Ronaldo has won five, come in second six times, and also come in third once.

• Lieke Elisabeth Petronella Martens: Also known as the ‘Queen of Football’ this Dutch footballer was born on 16th December 1992. She plays for Netherlands women’s football team and also for FC Barcelona Femini. She has also achieved 'The Best FIFA Women’s player’ award.

• Christine Sinclair: Born on 12th June 1983, this Canadian footballer plays for and is the captain of Canadians women’s soccer team. She began playing football when she was just 4 years old. She also has a tattoo on her back of a maple leaf playing soccer.
