Cricket in India is not treated as a sport it is treated as a religion. The first dream of every Indian child is to become a cricketer and make proud of his family and obviously of his country. Parents brought them cricket bats and tennis balls to play rather than any other sports equipment because of the level of the craze of cricket in India. Because of that level of craze, the youth also takes interest in cricket and many of them have great talent. Many cricket fans of the Indian team always go to the stadium and support the team whether the match is in India or it is outside India they don’t miss any chance to support that country.
According to many reports in India, around 80 percent of people watch cricket matches that is about 1.10 billion of the total population. The Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) organize many Indian tournaments to promote youth and cricket in India. The most popular tournament by BCCI is the Indian Premier League (IPL) has become such a fan favorite tournament that its popularity is not restricted to the national boundary. IPL is the tournament by which many of the youth gets trained for the international level. And there are many more tournaments at the domestic level also which helps the youth to gain confidence for national and international level challenges and difficulties. Vijay Hazare Trophy
Cricket got its real identity in India after the 1983 World Cup win against West Indies. After this World Cup win, the level of craze for cricket rise, and cricket became the most popular sport in India.
