The Very Classic and Timeless Beauty: Madhubala

Madhubala was known to be one of the timeless actresses who appeared in classic films of Hindi cinema. Madhubala was active between the years 1942-62. Her beauty was of immense admiration and she is one such actress to have worked in the industry who is highly regarded as “The Venus of Indian Cinema” and “The Beauty with Tragedy”.

The golden actress received wide recognition for her stupendous performances in films like Mahal (1949), Amar (1954), Mr. & Mrs. '55 (1955), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and Barsaat Ki Raat (1960). She became an iconic figure in Hindi Cinema because of her unforgettable work in Mughal-e-Azam. Her last film was Jwala which was shot in 1950s but the movie got released in 1971. Later, Madhubala also became a producer with the film Naata (1955). She also acted in the same movie.

In her successful career, she acted in as many as seventy films from 1947 to 1964. Out of which fifteen came out to be box – office successes.
