Biological Fathers Help to Develop a Child More

There are chances of having consequences in the well-being of children born to single mothers. The consequences can be minimized by the joining of biological father in the family. This is presented by a new research.

The children show negative consequences by the subsequent leaving of fathers or joining of step-fathers. Children raised by single mothers do not develop better social, cognitive and emotional skills. The research showed that children suffer less anxiety and depression whose father joins and stays with the family. The research was published in European Journal of Population.

Researchers said children face a lot of difficulty when a step-father joins. They are not at all attracted with the extra resources he brings or with the parenting. The mothers who remain on their own and do all take care of children with no complaints shows better development in children.
