Subrata Dutta, The President of West Bengal’s Indian Football Association will now fit the role of the Chairman of the governing body. He will be named the man for the job in the association’s annual general meeting just to avoid the election process for the post.
Subrata was also the former Senior Vice- President of the All India Football Federation and he was elected as the President four years ago in 2014. The IFA is known as the country’s oldest football association as it was found long back in 1893. While Subhrata Dutta will be the new Chairman of the IFA, Ajit Bannerjee, the Chief of the Bengal Association will be his successor as the new President of the IFA and Utpal Ganguli will be the secretary of the association. While being the Chairman, he will also play an advisory part for the association whereas relishing the poll rights and selection of the IFA’s representative to be present at the AIFF meetings.
