Archeology is the study of ancient cultures through examination of their buildings, tools and other objects. Their tasks involves surveying, excavation and analysis of data collected to learn more about the past human life.
Archaeologist may work indoors. They analyze artifacts and conduct research while working indoors. Archaeologist may work outdoors and can undertake field work. The conditions can be harsh at various sites.
N.P. Chakravarti succeeded Wheeler in April 1948. His period saw the organization of a large-scale exhibition at New Delhi in 1948 on the Indian art objects. These objects were originally exhibited in London in 1947 and later on its return to India formed the nucleus of the National Museum which was opened on 15th August 1949.
Dharma Pal Agrawal who is a historian of Indian Science and Technology, he is also an Archaelogist and an Author. He also published his work on Indian archaelogy, metallurgy, the history of science and palaeoclimate.
