BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering are the only applicable courses for the students of first batch, starting this academic session. while BTech in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering and environmental engineering will be available for the next batches. Students will also get exposed to the interdisciplinary subjects including Korean studies, computational linguistic, computational finance, environmental science, computational biology, management and entrepreneurship. The Dean of School of Engineering (JNU), Ramesh Kumar Agarwal said “We would give due weightage to social science in our engineering programmes. While students are free to choose a master’s in the engineering related subjects, we would expose students to an array of elective subjects. This would make the entire degree socially-relevant and interdisciplinary”.
