CBSE Calls for Best Practices From Schools
Editorials News | Nov-03-2018
As we all know that the CBSE had lately launched the “DIKSHA” portal which was a really great initiative. Presently the CBSE has decided that it will ask the schools and the teachers to share their case studies of the best practices adopted by that particular school. These practises shall be uploaded on the DIKSHA portal. These practices maybe related to innovations or innovative practices that the schools have used to deal with various problems and issues. These innovations could be those that have brought about a change in the learning process that takes place in the schools and in improving the quality of education that the school imparts. These innovations should be such that prove to be a lesson for other schools. The main motive behind doing this is that the good practices that are existing in a particular school maybe known, appreciated and used by other schools as well. The CBSE has informed the schools that they may send their case studies to the following email id: cbse.bestpractises2018@gmail.com. The last date for sending the case studies is November 12, 2018. The CBSE is not open to accepting hardcopies in this regard. The CBSE has stated that the innovations must be related to the following fields: Pedagogy and Learning, Curriculum Planning, Integration of co-scholastic activities with scholastics, Promotion of Life Skills Education, Promotion of Values Education, Integration of ICT across school curriculum, Innovative Assessments, Partnership with Community, Partnership with Institutes of Higher Education and Safety and Emergency preparedness. The CBSE has further informed the schools that they should enter their details in the DIKSHA portal very carefully. The schools must keep the following points in mind:
1. The details must be entered in English language only.
2. The key words that are used in the case study should also be submitted. These keywords should not be more than 20.
3. A self-curation certification will be done only by selected entries. The schools/ authors of the selected entries will be notified about their selection in about one month of the last date.
4. The write that the school shall submit should be in MS word format only. PDF format shall not be accepted.
5. The font size must be 12.
6. The line spacing should be equal to 1.5.
It is hoped that this initiative will be a big success. All schools will learn from each other and will be able to appreciate the good and worth learning practises of each other.
