Delhi Schools Shut, Following CAA Protests

We all have been hearing the news that has come amid the protests going on in Delhi after CAA. News of exams postponed and many others have hit directly our school education fraternity. A total of 42 people have reportedly died since the violence broke out. Of these, 38 people were in GTB, three in Lok Nayak Hospital and one in Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. The mortuary that is located at GTB Hospital has 15 bodies, of which nine bodies have been identified.
Witnessing this, all schools in Northeast Delhi are said to remain closed till March 7 keeping in view the violence that has broken out in that area. Officials have said that the situation was not at all conducive for conducting the examinations in such riot-affected areas.
In the riots, the violence which has broken out on recent Sunday has claimed 42 lives. In the last few days, the security personnel has intensified the peace-keeping measures across the locations of neighborhoods and further have held flag marches. They also spoke to people about keeping patience and also keeping calm in the face of any provocation. Police officials also used microphones for making the announcements.
This school shutting at Schools of Northeast Delhi has been done to ensure the security of students. According to the police, until now 123 FIRs have been filed while 630 people have been removed. A number of at least 47 peace committee meetings have been held in the affected localities. Additional CP M S Randhawa has told reporters on this Friday that they have controlled the situation in northeast Delhi.
