• The magnificent alien discovery: The magnificent alien discovery one of the best discoveries done by marine scientists. It is a new type of sponge discovered while exploring the deep oceans. Sponges are among the most abundant and different groups of organisms that play an important role in maintaining the ecosystem. Its scientific name is Advhena Magnifica. It can be called a glass sponge because its skeletons are made up of silica.

• Cutest shark discovery: Just a few years ago, marine scientists discovered the cutest shark ever found. It was named ‘Genie’s dogfish’ It was found in the Gulf of Mexico and the western Atlantic Ocean. It is the cutest shark because of its charming green and blue eyes.

• Plastic ocean discovery: As we all know that water pollution is increasing day by day, but only a few know that it has also reached the bottom of the ocean trench. Recently, marine scientists have discovered a new species called the Eurythenes plastics. Most of its body is made up of plastic found in water bottles and other plastic waste.

Apart from such discoveries, plastic has also become the reason for the extinction of over a hundred thousand animal species. But at the same time, it has also helped in reducing unnecessary usage of paper and it also has several other benefits. Therefore, excessive use of plastic and not disposing of it properly is a bane!
