A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops! Hearts of gratitude are scattered all over to honor a teacher. To honor the efforts of a teacher and principal a National Award is awarded to the teachers to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the excellent teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who through their allegiance and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enhanced the lives of students.
Under this, a teacher will be granted with marks on criteria that would be on the basis of performance for example, the initiatives taken to improve learning outcomes, organization of extra and co-curricular activities in school, usage of Teaching Learning Material, and ensuring experiential learning along with special ways to ensure physical education to students.
Today on 13th September, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conferred Teacher's Award 2018 to 35 teachers and Principals. The awards were given by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'. He has also floated the CBSE's portal defining a Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing (National Forum for Teachers) and discharged CBSE's annual activity calendar,'Vidyadan' on Diksha App.
10 CBSE Manuals entitled on various subjects including art integration, experiential learning, joyful teaching and learning of mathematics, artificial intelligence and hubs of learning and eco-club and water conservation are also released by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal.
Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal also embraced all the award winners and principals and also thanked them for their notable efforts in nation building through teaching. As teaching makes a real difference to influence the future and also change the future of education. He said that these awards are a symbol of their success and hard work. He called upon the teachers to develop an environment full of positivity and growth with quality and values that fulfils the present and future needs of the students.
Mr. Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Human Resource Development was the 'Guest of Honour' in the event. Addressing at the event he mentioned that each child is unique and different, so the education should meet individual needs and nature of every student. So the child may become fearless and confident human with strong character so that he can be able to build a bright and successful future. Also Smt. Rina Ray, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy and Anurag Tripathi, Secretary, CBSE were also the part of the event.
Awardee teachers are also congratulated by CBSE Chairperson Ms. Anita Karwal and she said that this will give new energy and motivation to the recipients and will also inspire many other teachers at the same time in the nation to uplift the education sector for the betterment of society.
It must have been a great task convincing yourself to show up to teach again and again. Thank you for not giving in or giving up. Thank you for giving yourself.
