India: The Land Of Festivals


India is a Land of festivals, Culture and Tradition. All the festivals that are celebrated here represent the Ethics, Culture, Prosperity and Diversity of India. As July starts various festivals are on the list of up comings.
All the festivals that are celebrate in India has its own special, religious and mythological value. The people celebrate it with a sense of purity and sanctity. And all these celebrations are kept free from communalism, narrowness and nasty politics. Just like other months July also is no different and less in celebration of festivals. Here are few festivals from different states that are celebrated in July.
-Puri Rath Yatra, Odisha: This is the festival in which thousands of devotees come to holy beach-city of Puri and Partake in Rath Yatra every year. The dates for the festival are July 14th to 16th 2018.
-Dree Festival, Arunachal Pradesh: Celebrated by the Apatani tribe in Arunachal Pradesh’s Ziro region, this one is an agricultural festival. It is celebrated by the tribal people with a lot of fanfare, including traditional dance, folk songs, and performances. The date is 5th July 2018.
-Guru Purnima: This festival is celebrated in most parts of the country but holds an important place in Indian and Nepalese Hindu calendars. The day is celebrated by devotees for their teachers (Guru) and the most important part of the day is Guru Puja on 27th July 2018.
-Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey 2018, Leh: If you are bike rider who loves riding in hills, this festival is for you. There is also going to be an all-women’s edition of the event as well, which will flag off from Delhi on July 7.
