“Renaissance: The Period Literature”

The Renaissance period was started from the 14th century to 17th century and created the bridge between the Middle Age and Modern History. This period started from Italy and spread to Europe. The invention of Gutenberg Berg Printing Press in 1490 was the benchmark in the period of Renaissance Era because all the ideas and thoughts were communicated to the rest of the Europe and played a very important role as the communication medium.

During this period many artists and poets were introduced. Artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo who gave their contribution to the art and beauty to the Renaissance and poets like William Shakespeare were producing their own masterpieces. It was also the time of creativity, imagination and curiosity. Many voyages of great explorer like Columbus, Vespucci, Ponce de Leon, Polo, De Soto and Balboa occurred during the Renaissance. Renaissance Art was totally based on realism and naturalism. Many artist of Renaissance time make design from the true life of the people. They used to show the perspective by using techniques such as shadow and light to give the depth to the image and use of emotions infused into their pieces.

In the 13th century Italian writers began to write in their native and vernacular languages like Latin, French or Provencel. Many Italian writers began to appear in 14th century like Dante, Petrarch and Macchiavelli were the notable examples of the Renaissance literature writers. Renaissance literature was basically characterized by the adoption of Humanist Philosophy and the recovery of the classical literature of Antiquity.

The Renaissance Architecture, is a style of Rebirth of classical culture in Florence in the 15th century and spread out to Europe by replacing the Gothic style of architecture. There was a revival of the old ancient forms. The entire Architect was based on column, and round arc, tunnel vault and the dome. The best element was the order. All the knowledge of the classical architecture comes from the writings of Vitruvius. In the classical architecture proportion was the main element in the beauty; renaissance architecture finds harmony between the human object and building. Renaissance paintings were found by Masaccio. His paintings were on the basis of perspective, modeling and emotions and other early painter of Renaissance period was Sandro Botticelli. His two well-known paintings were Primavera and Birth of Venus, may be the most famous of all Early Renaissance paintings.
