Schooling: Major Purpose Of Education!

Beyond what education contributes to one’s knowledge and skills, it also provides credentials that attest to that experience, signalling to potential employers that a job candidate might possess certain qualities they seek. Like most of us, author Bryan Caplan sees the latter function as primary factor of education.

Much of the book is devoted to showing women education in many ways, whether obvious or subtle, that educational signalling matters a lot. Caplan emphasises how hard it is to get reliable information about what figure the workers know and are willing and able to do, and he also reminds us that students have a reason to exaggerate their extra talents. The arguments here are often clever and instructive; it’s regrettable that so much of the presentation is organised around arguing with the non-existent human capital purist.

An educated person has the power to differentiate between right and wrong or good and bad. It is the foremost responsibility of a society to educate the citizens. Focus should be on women’s education as the knowledge and empowerment of one woman can bring changes in a family and even in the society as a whole. It is the uneducated and illiterate people who think women are not made to get educated.

The global challenge for education is not just about providing a way,, but also ensuring the progress.
As the world’s leading learning company, we can help in making a difference. But we also know that the challenges are too hard to tackle alone without fail. So we're encouraging a global community of teachers, parents, students, governments, institutions and businesses, which can help us, find the answers and can implement the solutions, in the leading company of education.
