Send your experiment to the Moon in 2017 through Lab2Moon contest announced by Team Indus

Team Indus, a space technology start-up and the only Indian team competing for the Google Lunar XPrize, announced the launch of Lab2Moon competition. This is to challenge the youngsters between 14 and 25 years of age to think beyond the planet and create an experiment to colonize the moon and other celestial bodies. The experiment, if selected, will fly on board the Team Indus spacecraft to the Moon in 2017.

As a part of Lab2Moon, participants have to imagine, design and build a project that would catalyse the evolution of mankind as a sustainable multi-planetary species. Teams of up to 3 members will be required to write a 300 words overview of their project, share drawings and upload a 2 minute video explaining why it should go to the moon.

A jury of internationally renowned scientists and technologists including Dr. K. Kasturirangan, Former Chairman of ISRO, will shortlist 20 teams. These teams will then develop a working prototype by the end of the year. In the beginning of 2017, these shortlisted teams will then fly to Bangalore to showcase their project to the jury.
The registrations can be done at 'L2M.teamindus.in' till 20th of August 2016.
