Books - Companion During Pandemic
Education News | Apr-29-2021
“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination and they are the journey. They are home.”
That’s the thing about books. They let a person travel without moving their feet. Books are considered as a man’s best friend. They act as a powerhouse of information and knowledge. They are also a pathway to one's imagination. Books let us be all those things that we thrive to be in real life. They offer us so many things without asking for anything in return. The thing is that Reading is equal to having a conversation. All books talk. But a good book, listen to us as well. They also act as mirrors, they help us see what we see inside of ourselves. Sometimes we are stuck in our reality, and we feel like it is too much to handle where we are. Books give us someplace to go. People read books to give words to what they feel and know. They help us gain not only knowledge but to gain courage and to generate kindness for others. They help us learn that truth wins all the time and even if evil exists, they can be defeated as well. They tell us that hardships are temporary and there’s always a treasure hidden to be found at the end.
Books help us live a thousand lives before we die. A person can get true life wisdom because of all the extremes adventures they would have encountered, a thousand lives and a thousand difficult situations to escape, a war, a heartbreak, sometimes even comedy. When it comes to selecting a great book, no one should discriminate. But I agree that books should be read according to the mood you are
in. To make it easier for a person to select a book according to their preference, a genre is created. If one is a bibliophile, genres matter a lot to you. I mean, I get mad even if someone comes and tells me that fantasy and sci-fi are the same things. I know right? If you are not a book lover or just a fresher, you still can relate to genres.
Studies have shown that books help people fight depression and have a good psychological state. In this sudden pandemic, everyone is mostly stuck in their houses or stuck behind their masks. It’s a tough time for everyone. Most people don’t even want to live the reality. We hope for an alternative way. We wish that somehow we can skip this year. So if you’re one of them, then books might be a great way for you to relieve stress! To find a book that matches your tastes. Sometimes which reeks of positivity and hope.
