Books To Read During The Lockdown

“Sleep is good, he said, and books are better”, said George R.R. Martin. The famous writer who gave us the unforgettable series, “The Game of Thrones”. Try comparing the series and the book, you will be able to spot the differences and would also be able to understand the beauty of literature and how creatively it makes us visualize things in our minds. 

Certain books should be there on your bookshelf no matter whether you are a book lover or not. This book will lure you into more books of the same genre. Also, it will give you a sense of how to pen down your thoughts in the form of a book and make it interactive in such a way that makes readers visualize the story in his/her mind. 

Here a list of books that can be read during the quarantine period. 

  • The Immortals of Meluha- This is Amish Tripathi’s first novel which turned to be a huge hit amongst readers and other authors. This book has three parts and thus it is named Shiva Trilogy. The other two parts are The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras. The book describes the earlier life of Lord Shiva and how he got the name Neelkanth. The story covers Shiva as the creator, the lover, and the destroyer. 

  •  The Fifth Mountain- This book is written by the famous writer Paulo Coelho, and it a great piece of writing and literature. The book gives a sense of religious aspect, but in a very straight and simple manner. Once the reader starts reading it, he would end up reading the entire book in one go. The book has summed up very well the life of a person of how he spent his entire life. 

  •  Vishnu- The book is penned down by the great Indian author Devdutt Patnaik and it describes the life of Lord Vishnu in a very beautiful manner. Patnaik is the most renowned author amongst Indian authors and gained a lot of readership from his readers. His books are very much liked by the readers in the market.
