Importance Of Generation Gap Between Parents And Child

Overall, both parents and their children have different points of view to see things. The ages between parents and their children are often so large that they experienced their most influential years during a different culture than each other. Technical competence is also important. How technology affects the generation gap, how well older people can learn and use new technology. Lack of understanding different generations sometimes start speaking a different language. Because of the changes in society when parents were growing up, how their children are in time, even their way of thinking and what they perceive as normal, fall apart. Mistakes are rarely tolerated parents often do not tolerate mistakes. Children need to make mistakes to learn and grow in life, but they are only punished for it. A lot of comparisons, comparing children to each other or even how you were a child is another reason why the gap widens. This often causes them to lose faith in themselves and can destroy any of their earlier enthusiasm. Not enough conversation due to the responsibilities of being an adult and the stress that comes from work life, parents often find themselves too tired to spend enough time each day with their children.

Keep an open mind children's way of thinking is different from that of parents. Parents often feel that because they are already their child's age they understand how their child thinks. The truth at that at the time the world and way of living were different from now and their mindset would be very different and maybe shocking for some parents. Parents should also understand that some things are acceptable in society and therefore acceptable to your child which is not acceptable when you are of the same age. This is especially true in areas where parents need to try to keep an open mind so that they can understand their children better. Parents and children are not separate; however, instead of forcing them into their way of thinking or forcing them to do when they don't want to, learn to compromise when possible. Parents should give their children time to talk without interruption and listen to their talk. Learning your child's thoughts and ideas makes them feel what they want or feel important to you, which in turn makes them feel much closer to you than before. Parents and children both have different opinions; they have to understand each other.
