Education News | Mar-29-2022
In a democratic country like India, elections are held regularly where citizens vote to choose their leader. They have many choices available to them so that people can decide which party they need to win the election. This system where more than two choices are available to the citizens to vote and elect their desired leader and bring him into power is termed as "Multiparty System". There are many other systems followed in the world and other than 'Multiparty System' like: 'One-Party System' followed in China and 'Two-Party System' followed in USA & UK. The systems are adopted in any country based on the nation's history of rule and culture preceded. So, any of the systems used in any country can't be considered good or bad because that system was adopted after generations. And as we know, India is a large and diversified country with vast culture, so it is neither possible nor appropriate to manage and run the Indian nation by a single or double parties. To deal with this vast diversity, it is essential to use the "Multiparty System in India" and thus ensure appropriate functionality of the nation.
Multiparty System has emerged as a successful system in India because it issues the chance of more equality during electoral competition. Unlike a one-party system where competition is not open for power to everyone, here this system opens gates for any party to contest in an election which is one of the most significant functions of the "Multiparty System in India".
This system also provides opposition to the ruling party which checks the schemes and activities of the ruling party and hence, ensures the execution of more adequate policies. This criticism motivate the ruling party to improve its performance with a fear of declining from power if the didn't work properly.
Hence, "Multiparty Systems India" is a more democratic way to deal with conflicts and problems against the party or Two parties system because it has more scope for correction and improvement. Thus, the "Multiparty System in India" is merit for India which always helps to ensure proper administration of the nation with criticism and fair chances to all.
