 What are the Consequences of Skipping School?

Everyone wonders if they can skip a few classes at some point during their college career. A common inquiry is: Do I have to miss a class? The class you want to skip, the reason you want to skip it, and what you plan to do with the extra time will all play a role in determining whether skipping a class is a good idea or not. If you skip class once, you will probably want to skip class again. This may result in a pattern of missing classes you never intended to take. By attending lectures each time, you should avoid allowing yourself to fall into this routine at all. When you miss a class, you need to study the material, catch up on any revised due dates, and find out what you missed, and what happened in class.

You may begin to worry about what you missed if you skip a class. In addition, you might have to start trying to catch up, contact your classmates to find out what happened, and worry about what your instructor thinks of you. Attending the class without worrying may be preferable if you tend to be anxious.

In general, something called opportunity cost is really what determines whether or not to skip class. If skipping class gives you the chance to do something beneficial, it might be worth the extra money. Class, on the other hand, is almost always the most worthwhile or beneficial use of that hour. Attending classes is essential if you want to get the most out of your education and your financial investment.
