What Does Visa Post Study Mean For Students Studying Abroad
Education News | Oct-18-2023
International students, who want to study abroad, can study this autumn by applying for the Graduate Immigration Route in the UK. This Graduate immigration route will be available to students who have completed undergraduate-level education or have studied higher education, who have compliance, and who have a Tier 4 visa at the time of application.
This category of visa was announced in the year 2019 and will be open to applicants from the summer of 2020.
This implies that those who will start studying in 2020 in the UK and the students who have a valid Tier 4 visa can apply for this visa when the new category opens. But still, there is no such detailed clarification about this visa and many students are frustrated on that matter.
But recently, the UK government published the updated guidelines for this visa. In these guidelines, students have the eligibility to apply for a visa, even if they have distance learning due to the pandemic, which has pushed students to go home or has created scenarios that made students not able to come to the UK. All these students will be able to apply for this visa given the fact that they are in the United Kingdom, by the day and date of 6th April 2021.
This is the best concession and a very important one given by the government of the UK to foreign immigrant students. It was a known fact that students were not able to travel due to the guidelines and health measures taken due to COVID-19. Also, the universities in the UK have announced that their term will start as usual on its time this autumn. And they will not be delaying the universities as there was last year due to a pandemic.
There is also an update that, more than 97 percent of universities will provide traditional student-teacher classes to students when and where it is safe for them and the teacher.
