Delhi Police Warns Those Who Plan To Buy Second-Hand Smartphones

Nowadays, there is a trend in which people have to show off. Showing off clothes, style, phones, etc. is the trend. Even if people could not afford the trend but they have to show-off. This is the reason few people buy second- hand smartphones but there are genuine people who could not afford so they buy it. On a daily basis, millions of users buy them.
The second hand products are genuine as they are sold by actual sellers. Some of them cheat while selling the second-hand phone. That is why; Delhi Police has raised their voice against this issue. They are tweeting and informing potential buyers to consider a few points before buying a second-hand smartphone.
On 1st March, the Delhi Police mentioned three things before buying smartphones.
1. If someone is creating a huge hurry to sell the smartphone, then it can be stolen.
2. If the seller is forcing you for the cash payment, then you will have no proof for the online transaction.
3. If the seller wants you to pay using a QR code. Then it means the buyer won’t be able to know to whom he is going to pay.
So basically, no cash payment buys the phone patiently, and don’t pay using the QR code.
Even in trusted apps like OLX, Quickr and more, it is not guaranteed that people who are selling there are genuine. Therefore, to avoid the case of cheating, it is advisable to meet the seller, check the product, and then buy. Resolve all your queries before buying the product. Ask for the original bill of the product to check that the seller is genuine or fake.
Some seller groups are high-copies of premium devices such as iPhones and Samsung. They can attract you by giving discounts, like of Rupees 10k off claiming it to be 100% genuine. After buying the product, you would get to know about the reality of the product.
While on the other hand, some sellers demand half money in advance and a half after buying the product. Don’t ever fall for those tricks as the product you are willing to buy will never get and the payment which you made will be gone. In fact, there will be chances of blocking your number by the seller.
