Martial arts are practiced for a spread of various reasons including self-defense, fitness, entertainment and competition. Some even consider martial arts as to how of achieving spiritual growth.
Judo
Judo may be a competition based sport that originated out of Japan. The primary objective of the game is to throw or takedown the opponent player for points. Although it had been created for sport and exercise, it's proven to be efficient self-defense in close combat through the utilization of leverage.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing can be for fitness, self-defense or sport. There are different origins of the game, but we are most conversant in the American version of kickboxing. Kickboxing combines punches, knees, head butts, and kicks to disarm an opponent or attacker. A swift front kick to the face is quite enough to disarm a person. speed and agility are the keys to kickboxing, In this, the person must strike before the attacker can either react or respond.
Karate
Karate is basically originated in Japan and is also practiced primarily for their sport. It involves the standard kicking, punching, elbows and also incorporates open hand techniques. The main focus is on attack deflection, controlling and disabling attacks that come from directly in front of you.
Taekwondo
Taekwondo, Korean self-defense, combines both self-defense and attack, as how of sport and exercise. The self-defense focuses on high kicks and quick hand movements. The sport is extremely good to reinforce agility, power, balance, flexibility and endurance. You might have seen this martial artist when the player breaks wood planks, cement blocks or bricks with their bare hands.
