Besides all the challenges such as poverty and loneliness scientist, Sir Santi Swaroop achieved the position of the first director-general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He is revered as the "Father of Research Laboratories". He was also the first Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC). As the saying goes that, “everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated and passionate about what they do”.
