Make in India

Make in India is an initiative by the Government of India started on 25th September 2014 by our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for the recognition of India as a special identity in the field of economy and development. He launched one of the flagship campaigns to encourage companies to manufacture and to boost domestic manufacturing, incentivize dedicated investments into manufacturing. Our government intended to increase Gross Domestic Production and standard of living.

The campaign focuses on 25 sectors of the economy like the automobile, mining, electronics, etc. The lion is the symbol of this campaign with many mechanical wheels. Moving with the help of these wheels, this lion signifies perseverance and intelligence. The major aim is to promote the development of new technologies and products made in India.

The biggest principle of this campaign is to encourage foreign companies to invest and encourage them to make products in India. Manufacturing will serve several objectives. Firstly, it will employ more than 10 million people. Second, it will boost foreign direct investment (FDI) and thus make our nation developed. Third, it will reduce the imports of various. Fourth, it will increase our exports and reduce imports lastly, it will help in bringing the latest technologies into the country.

This is a highly beneficiary program which faces several challenges like laws of India, red-tapism, providing environmental clearance for the big project, low technology, and poor transportation system.

The government has taken several different steps to improve the ease of doing business in the country. Rules and procedures have been made into the simplified form and in a single window to guide the first time investors. These initiatives have great linkage with other initiatives by the government like skill India, startup India, digital India, etc.

The campaign has already made a considerable success and if it moves forward at the same pace it will surely transform India and improve our economy. Growing production in a country is a mark of its economic prosperity.  By that, the country is also able to increase export. This beneficial campaign inspires us. If the investment comes in the country, new factories set up, the employment rate will increase, production will become better, affordable goods will be available and at the same time, India will emerge as a major exporting country.
