Montfort School breathes fire on the day 2 of RBCL 2016

The 2nd day of RBCL 2016 was full of twists & turns. The day began with a match between G.D. Goenka Dwarka and Mayur Public School, I.T. Extension and had 6 matches in total, thanks to the weather conditions.

The enthusiasm in the teams was unbeatable. Where the match between Apeejay School, Saket & Modern School, Vasant Vihar (boys) was nerve-racking as Apeejay won just by 2 baskets; matches between Montfort School & G.D. Goenka, Vasant Kunj and Shri Ram Shiksha Mandir & The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar was not on the edge since Montfort School and The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar made an easy win, under boys category, by 12 baskets respectively.

“We are here to win. We are absolutely confident that we will win and move into the Finals.” said Anoushka, Team Captain, The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar. In addition, Mr. Manoj, Coach, The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar had a tip to give to his team as well as other sports person, “Winning or losing is not a matter of concern. It is the game that matters and it should be played honestly with full spirit and enthusiasm.” While talking about his team, he said, “My advice to the Team is to concentrate, focus and fix their eyes on the Trophy. I would like them to remember each and everything that has been taught to the off- field.”

The other teams played today were Mamta Modern School, Ramjas School, R.K.Puram, Step by Step School, The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar.
G. D. Goenka, Dwarka, Montfort School, Apeejay School, Saket & The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar under boys category and Ramjas School, R.K. Puram & The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar under girls category were the winners of the day.

The basketball tournament is currently for primary classes and the middle & senior classes will participate from 8th August onwards.
