Sports Vs. Gym!

Sports and exercises carry with themselves a lot of benefits and perks. But have this thing ever wondered you that now a days so many people visit gym and consider it as a healthy routine. Both of them are somewhere related to each other but are two different aspects. There is a huge difference when we compare Sports like Basketball / Martial Arts with Gym activities like Lifting Weights / Cardio. This article will help you in distinguishing both of these processes.
It is said that when you play a sport like cricket, basketball or any other outdoor sport, you are needed to outwit the other person, especially when you are sparring an opponent in a martial art like Muay Thai. While playing such sport one have to be present to out-with the opposite person and one can also externalise his/her anger or frustration while playing the sport. Sport has several physical benefits associated with it but these are some psychological reasons which distinguish it from others.
By playing sports one is forced to detach from the past memories and furthermore it allows you to detach from any other mental tensions and pressure this is not the case with gym and the condition is contrary to sports.
When we go to the gym to lift weights or to do cardio, these are loner activities and do not provide with any type of mental satisfactions. No doubt gym is very much helpful and allows you to be fit and healthy but it is also fact that while going to the gym on is sub-consciously thinking about the past. This is really not an appropriate option if you are upset or mentally unfit or occupied which is very common in today’s lifestyle then such lonely exercises and processes are big no.
Playing a sport also has certain advantages like it automatically involves all the movements of the body. Also, it is helps in coordination and also mental alertness.
On the other hand, if going to the gym is considered, it is also good as Gym exercises tone and strengthen your body. Gym is one such place where you can augment both your strength and flexibility.
Both gym and sports and gym have their own perks, it just depends on the need of your body that what it is need of more.
