General News | Sep-16-2020
Physical activity has become very crucial for kids. Not only is it one of the best ways to fight against the serious childhood obesity epidemic, but practicing one or more hours of physical activity daily, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, can help promote a healthy lifestyle and well-being.
A study shows that most kids have a natural urge to play and signing them up for sports is a great way to harness all of that natural energy and transform it into something even greater.
According to Michelle M. Miller, a founder of 'My First Workout' in Tallahassee, Florida explains the importance of physical activity for children as it is undeniable, and it’s negligent when children are not allowed to engage in this invaluable resource in life.
From Basketball to gymnastics, Organized kids sports can benefit children in all five key developmental areas that are, Physical, Emotional, Social, Cognitive, Moral
Sports could become more costly and time-consuming for families as child advances and becomes more competitive. It’s upon parents to help their children choose not only age- and personality-appropriate sports but to help set a foundation for fitness from a young age.
More travel requirements and private lessons could add the average cost of the sport and increase the time commitment needed.
At a competitive level, the below-mentioned sports are the best option for teenagers but these are also some of the expensive ones to play and afford: Ice hockey, Lacrosse, Football, Baseball.
Sports that require less equipment can be more budget-friendly. These sports include Track or cross-country, Swimming, Basket Ball, Gymnastics, Karate. Swimming and skating are one of the simplest sports and can be taught by a parent at home, and once the few items that are required are purchased, these can be the most inexpensive forms of physical activity preferably done daily.
Multiple sports demand more and more strength and hard-work so parents should remember that adequate rest and proper nutrition are essential to maintain peak performance and also reduces the chances of injury.
A proper balance should be maintained and the main focus should be at the time. Sports or any physical activity should be mandatory for kids. It should not be treated as a job, but also engaging in no physical activity should not be tolerated either. Teens would experience a lot of exposure, fun, learning, and many other life lessons from sports. With no sports, life would become like a waste plastic bag.
Sports also make a child independent, outrageous, and enthusiastic.
