General News | Jan-17-2022
Feminism is a very complicated topic when it comes to the view of Indian Society. But in simple terms Feminism is the idea that everyone is equal regardless of sex or gender. The feminist movements have helped a lot of women and men to raise their voices against the rigid patriarchal and misogynistic structure. Feminism has helped a lot of women to raise their voices against sexual harassment, domestic violence, or emotional abuse and to not accept oppression by anyone. Women are now more confident about themselves and their work, they are slowly becoming capable to fight back against anything wrong.
In early society, females were not much educated, because society did not allow females to be educated but now this trend is slowly changing many females in the society we see are educated and are aware of their rights and responsibilities. People are now more confident about showcasing their sexuality to the world and not being ashamed of it, Lesbianism and bisexuality came to be accepted as a part of feminism by a significant proportion of feminists.
Feminism has played a major role in the choice of occupation. In early society, the occupation choice structure was very rigid. For example, women could only be a homemaker or school teachers and men could be doctors and engineers but now the trend has changed. We see men as makeup artists as fashion models and influencers and women as astronauts and engineers. Occupation is no more a matter of gender now.
Men are considered superior and tough, they are not allowed to feel weak and vent out their emotions, but feminism has helped men to Express their emotions and feel weak sometimes and understand that it is completely normal to feel this way. Feminism helps society to become a better place for all genders, supporting feminist movements is very important for the development and wellbeing of our society.
