Being immersed in the bustle of today’s life sometimes can make people forget those old games, which undoubtedly are overshadowed by digital forms of entertainment and instant activities that have taken over our lives so quickly. Nonetheless, these games are not just mere memories of the past; they are inclusive strands that make the cultural fabric much more varied, sophisticated, and therefore, stronger. Traditional games, however, rate from the preservation of nothing more than merely childhood games, but also, play a vital role in the holding of the vision, the celebrating diversity, and the strengthening of community ties. It has been tied with the healthy preservation of traditional games/strategies and their relevance in ensuring cultural heritage security.

The immense importance of indigenous games in indigenous communities.

The traditional game was not just a recreation activity; it is a cultural storehouse of knowledge and values of ancestral people that has been transacting through generations. To illustrate, there could be certain games similar to the indigenous ones with roots in ancient rituals, the others will only show the regional customary beliefs while others will blend a bit of the two.
