Esports is a kind of competition where video games are used. Esports is a competitive level gaming where teams of people play video games against each other at a professional level and win huge sums of money as prizes. The competitors from different leagues or teams face each other in the popular games. Games like PUBG, COD, League of Legends, CS-GO, Fortnite, etc. Online streaming services like Twitch and online streaming platforms such as YouTube allow viewers to watch as their favorite gamers play in real-time. These platforms have also played a major role in the growth and promotion of eSports competitions.

How does a game become an Esport?

Any multiplayer game has the potential to become an Esport, although almost all of the biggest games right now such as COD and PUBG simply set out, first and foremost, to be entertaining to play. Two elements play a vital role in helping a game to succeed as an Esport. These two elements are balance and enjoyability.

Career in Esports

There is no need for you to be a professional gamer to land a job within eSports. Esports is an area that is growing rapidly and it offers several viable career options to everyone out there, though it may not yet be common knowledge to everyone. Although some people still believe that playing video games is a waste of time and isn't valuable to a person’s personal development or career. But the truth is that Esports presents genuine opportunities to people. There are several ways to get your foot in the door as there are more jobs in Esports than there have been ever before, which means it’s easier than it was to get involved and get paid for it but it usually requires a lot of hard work and dedication, and it can get pretty competitive, so it is something that you have to make sure to be passionate about.

The future it holds 

Now looking at the numbers and the seemingly unstoppable cultural momentum, Esports will continue to grow as an industry for the foreseeable future. By the end of 2021, around 30-40% of the entire world's population will have some knowledge of Esports. Because of its cultural impact, it is bound to spread globally. So, if you haven't heard much about Esports yet, give it some time, who knows you might as well have a career in it.
