Schools Must Get Involved With Obese Students Weight Issues

A school is a place for a student's overall development which includes his or her personality, gain confidence, physical growth, education, etc. And it is no new to say that your appearance gives you a lot of confidence and hence enhances your personality.

Though if not seen but we have heard many times that obese students are teased by other fellow students and because of these continuous insults, the child gives up everything and tries to seclude himself/herself from others. This will surely restrict his/her social development. And also, this may lead to psychological problems like depression or food disorders like bulimia nervosa, etc if not checked by elders.

But the main reason behind schools must get involved in this should be health! Being obese is no good, and during school times, parents mostly do not stop their children from overeating and lack exercise, sometimes it is because of a lack of awareness related to the harmful effects of being obese and sometimes lack of paying much attention to their children. In such situations, schools can play a major role in guiding their students to keep a check on their physical health and also can help them by teaching exercises in the school itself like PT, etc. This will help the students to get into a habit of doing exercises and also can get knowledge about the requirement of nutrients by their body.

So yes, schools must get involved in this, it will help students in every way possible!
