Simple Exercises to Do in the Morning

Staying fit and healthy is very important for everyone irrespective of their age. Exercising in a routine can help us achieve our target to stay fit. Morning is considered to be the best time of the day to exercise, but why so? It is because if one exercise in the morning then that person can start his day full of energy, focus and optimism. One should start his workout with simple exercises to tame his body. So, let’s know some simple exercises to do in the morning.
STRETCHING: - Stretching is very important before any workout as it prepares our body for the workout. So, some easy and simple stretches are as follows.
- Shoulder stretch: Lace your fingers together and then raise your hands above your head and palms upward. Lift up stretching your rib cage and hold for a count of 10. Repeat 5 more times.
- Cobra stretch: Lie down on your exercise mat and then raise your head and chest. Stretch for 15-20 seconds and then come down again.
- Quad stretch: Stand on your right leg and hold your left foot from your left hand. Feel the stretch for 15-20 seconds and then repeat with the other leg.
- Calf stretch: Place your hands on a wall for support and step back from one leg. Push your heel towards the ground and feel the stretch for 15-20 seconds.
Exercising: - The most important step is here. So, let’s know some easy exercises.
- Butterfly breath: Stand with feet and hip-width apart and lift your arms on sides. While exhaling, lift right knee and touch it with left elbow and inhale while coming back to position. Switch the sides and repeat.
- Chair squats: While squats are not advisable at the beginner level, these chair squats can be tried. Stand with a chair behind you and then lift your hands forward. Start sitting on the chair but stop when your hips reach the chair.
- Sit backs: Sit with bent legs and arms straight in front. Lean back while keeping straight arms and tight tummy. Take it as back as possible and return to your sitting position.
Resting: - Resting after every exercise for at least 10-30 seconds is important. For this simply sit in a crossed leg position close your eyes and wait till your desired time chosen completes.
So, let’s fulfil our body’s requirement to stay fit and maintain our health.
