Table tennis is also known as ping pong. Table tennis can be played by two or four players. In table tennis, the object is to be the first player to achieve 11 points to win a set and then win the best of 3, 5, or 7 set to ultimately win the game. Table tennis is played on a white table 9 feet long and 5 feet wide and is 2 half feet above the ground and the net is hung 6 inches above the table.

Table tennis is a sport like a tennis but played on the table, therefore, called table tennis. The racket and ball are also different in table tennis it is played with a plastic ball a small ball and also a small racket it does not have strings. It is made up of wood and it has rubber on both its sides. Rubber is there so that you can make some spin with the plastic ball. Table tennis is played on the table and it has a net that divides the table into two parts. To play table tennis you need to learn some basic rules of playing table tennis.

(1) The service in table tennis is also very different from tennis when we are servicing we have to toss the ball and hit with a racket and it should bounce on our side of the table first and then go with net and it should bounce on opponent's side only on service.
(2) After that the opponent needs to hit the ball on our side and then we need to hit the ball on our opponent's side and the game goes on like that.
Now, how can we when the points let's talk about that?
(3) We can hit a very fast shot and if our opponent is not able to make a contact that is how we can score a point.
(4) Another way to win a point is two bounces so if your opponent hits the ball after the ball has made two bounces on the table it's called double bounce and we score a point.
(5) Another way if your opponent hits the ball and it does not bounce on the table that would be outside and we would score a point.
(6) Another case is when the opponent hits the ball into the net in that case we would score a point.

There are many techniques of scoring points by playing different shots some shots that help to score points are:
(1) Top Spin Shot- In this shot, we move our racket upwards so that the ball is going to go farther higher and faster this shot is known as topspin.
(2) Back Spin Shot- In this shot, we move our racket downwards so that the ball will have a backspin and the ball will be slower, it would be shorter and it would have a spin on it.
