Top 5 Indian Shooters

Sport is something which we all like to involve ourselves in. Such sports are of various types. Some people like me have sports as their hobbies. We know about several common sports like football, basketball, cricket, tennis, badminton and more. Along with these common sports, other sports are not very common. One such sport is shooting.

Shooting can be defined as the practice of shooting using a gun. Recently reviewed, shooting has gained more fame than before. There several shooters worldwide, let’s know about five famous Indian ones.

1. Apurvi Chandela: Apurvi Chandela is a famous Indian shooter who got qualified for Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She has completed the 10-meter air rifle event. She also achieved a gold medal in the 2019 IISF World Cup in Delhi. Also, a thing to know, Apurvi Chandela is a recipient of the Arjuna award.

2. Saurabh Chaudhary: Another renowned Indian shooter; Saurabh Chaudhary is an Indian shooter who won a gold medal in the 2018 Asian games. Also, he got the title of the youngest Indian gold medallist at the Asian games.

3. Yashaswini Deswal: Yashaswini Deswal is another famous Indian shooter who secured a quota position for our country, India in the 2020 Summer Olympics. She has also won a gold medal in the 10-meter air pistol event, 2019.

4. Manu Bhaker: Another distinguished Indian shooter; Manu Bhaker is an Indian Olympian who plays airgun shooting. She won two gold medals at the 2018 ISSF World Cup and got the title of the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup.

5. Abhishek Verma: Abhishek Verma is another famed Indian shooter who won a gold medal in 2019 men’s 10-meter air pistol, Beijing, and also a bronze medal in 2018 men’s 10-meter air pistol, Jakarta Palembang. He is also willingly participating in the 2021 Japan Olympics.

All these shooters teach us that hard work and practice can make us successful and famous. Being dedicated and working hard is the way success should be achieved and can be achieved.
